As we end the month of February we come to the end of Summer in the Southern Hemisphere! These last few weeks have been quite warm with temperatures in the high 90's and high humidity. Greater Buenos Aires has a population of around 15 million people, but summer vacation is a very important matter in Argentina, and there are major arrivals and departures of people every 2 weeks, with some 1/3 of the city's population turning over during these times. It sure helps traffic around the city!
While Argentine students would begin school in March, our daughter Michelle is attending an international school here in the city and she began her final semester of High School at the beginning of the month. Michelle will graduate on June 7th and our plan is to return tothe States on June 19th to begin our year of itineration. Pray that God will help us wrap things up and be ready to leave on this date. And pray for our oldest daughter, Rachel, who will finish her Junior year at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington this May.
